ICOMOS president calls Mt. Fuji a 'universally recognized cultural symbol of ...

The president of the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) has praised Mount Fuji as a symbol of Japan and said it constitutes a cultural heritage, during a recent interview with the Mainichi.

"It's a universally recognized cultural symbol of Japan," ICOMOS President Gustavo Araoz, 64, said about Mount Fuji, which the Japanese government has nominated to the UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site, during an exclusive interview with the Mainichi Shimbun.

Since the Paris-based ICOMOS provides advice to the UNESCO on the inscription of world heritage sites, the president's remarks indicate that the cultural aspect of Mount Fuji has gained international recognition. It has been the center of attention whether the 3,776-meter-high mountain, straddling Shizuoka and Yamanashi prefectures, will be recognized as a "cultural" heritage despite it being part of nature.

This time I scanned 3 documents, stopped and saved everything, then went to my other 3 documents. After getting the runaround from tech support, and even exchanging the scanner for a new one, tech support admitted to me that "make copy" doesn't work. At this point, the scanner works about 1 in every 10...

Yes that is a great camera. It's very basic, doesn't have a whole bunch of extra bells and whistles, but as far as quality goes, I think it's pretty good.

I have heard fujifilm isnt that great. But you never know, Canon is always a very reliable and good camera. Especially the Canon Powershot 790, but you might have to pay a little extra for that one. I think its like 150 if I remember correct?

Whats some good 120 film to use?

Right now am stuck fujifilm fujicolor superia reala 100 color negative film ISO 100 for my holga and Ilford delta pro 100 B&W for my mamiya m645.

Try Kodak Ektar 100 for your Holga. Originally introduced as 35mm only, demand was so great that Kodak had to release it in 120 size.
